A week that was

Thank you parents for helping your children write about their names, ancestry and culture - so fascinating to read and share with the class! If you have not written on Padlet yet, you can always email me and I'll put it on for you - due Friday.

Here are some photos taken over the week:
Off to the Library
Drinking milk - thanks Fonterra and farmer shareholders.
The senior children helped us learn how to reduce and recycle the milk cartons. It was tricky folding the cartons - we got to write our name on the board if we folded the carton correctly. The cartons will be sent to Vietnam where they will be made into roof tiles. It was lovely to drink something so cold for morning tea. We are very grateful to Fonterra for offering to provide Arahoe with milk every day.
Kareena's Birthday
Kareena turned 6 today and was a gracious host to everyone. She reminded the children to say thank you at the beginning and she was very attentive in asking each child if they enjoyed their cake. Ka pai, Kareena! Thank you for your party and beautiful manners.
